Fully Certified Beach at Garza Blanca Real Estate

A Certified Beach

There is no question that Garza Blanca Beach is a breathtaking slice of paradise, which is why it should come as no surprise that it also happens to be certified by the Mexican Institute of Standardization and Certification (IMNC). This desireable classification is awarded by the government-run program every two years to the beaches around Banderas Bay that have been shown to deserve the label by fulfilling all of the necessary criteria such as cleanliness and other environmental elements.

Uninterrupted certification

The highly regarded certification assigned by IMNC reflects that the Garza Blanca Beach complies with the stringent requirements put forth by the standard: NMX-AA-120-SCFI-2006. The objective of the program is to contribute to the safety and cleanliness of the natural environment of Mexico’s beaches through conservation and protection efforts. Garza Blanca was first awarded the certification in 2013 and since then has remained on this prestigious list, most recently recognized in 2016 for the present cycle that runs through 2018.

Impressively high standards

All of the beaches certified by IMNC are inspected every month by an accredited group of third party experts who survey the beaches for cleanliness and quality standards that follow the law. Before a beach can be considered for this coveted certification, it must satisfy all of the following criteria:

  •
Fishing is not permitted
  • The only approved vegetation is native to the region
  • Water samples are tested and recorded for bacteria levels, and the results are displayed on the beach

Why is Garza Blanca Beach so Special?

Both locals and hotel guests have long regarded Garza Blanca Beach as one of the most sensational beaches in all of Banderas Bay, and for good reason. The majority of the beaches in the Puerto Vallarta area have yellow sand, which sets Garza Blanca Beach apart because of its silky white sand with a powdery texture that lends a crystal clear turquoise look to the water.

To help protect the beach from erosion, the resort constructed a lovely jetty last year which created a natural swimming pool towards the northern section of the beach. This area is a terrific place to view an assortment of marine life with or without snorkel gear, and kayaking and paddle boarding allow you a closer look from above the water’s surface.

Garza Blanca Beach also happens to boast stunning views of Puerto Vallarta’s most iconic landmark, Los Arcos. This natural collection of rock formations rises out of the sea and is a popular spot to visit because it draws a variety of marine life. Fortunately, you can get there easily from Garza Blanca Beach by kayak or paddle board.
