Noteworthy Elements of Street Art Mural
In López Martínez’s mural, the most noteworthy elements are a catrina face, butterflies, flowers, the Aztec symbol Nahui-Ollin, corn, and the God Pakal (in his transition to death).
The Aztec symbol Nahui-Ollin represents the center of the universe. Next, corn is a very important part of the Mexican diet. And lastly, the Aztec God Pakal is depicted in his transition from life to death. In addition, the wall painting measures an astounding 15 meters long. Likewise, one side of the mural measures six meters and the other side measures four meters high. As far as time to paint, the masterpiece was completed in 4 short weeks.
