You probably thought the only activity your toddler would enjoy while vacationing in Puerto Vallarta is the hotel’s beach or pool area, but there are other locations where you can go in Puerto Vallarta that are well-suited for your toddler to have lots of fun. The following list details some of the many places you can take your toddler while living or vacationing in Banderas Bay.
Water Parks
Puerto Vallarta has two major water parks: Parque Aquatica and Splash. Parque Aquatica is the largest waterpark found here, but there is also a smaller section for toddlers and babies that has shallow water. This section has smaller slides that your toddler can use to make a splash in the pool. The other water park, Splash, has a pirate-themed water slide that has a pirate ship with slides coming from it. There are big slides for adults and older children, and there is a manmade beach area around the pool that is perfect for monitoring your toddler at play. Also, both parks have marine creatures to watch like seals, sharks, and dolphins.

The Zoo
El Zoologico de Puerto Vallarta is located between Mismaloya and Mismaloya beach which is hidden away in the mountains and jungle. Toddlers will love this adventure because they will actually get a chance to communicate with the animals. Whereas most zoos won’t let you feed the animals, this zoo will. No child can resist having fun while exploring the sights and sounds among the animals here in Mexico. It only takes a few hours to complete an entire trip around the zoo. And it’s also easy to get to the zoo if you travel by car or taxi (just 5 minutes from Garza Blanca Resort).
Equestrian Bucerias
In a tiny town a few miles north of Puerto Vallarta sits an interesting educational tool for your toddler: an animal farm in Bucerias. For a price under $8, your toddler can take a few hours to explore and pet farm animals. They will also be able to feed them, and they can experience the joy of taking a pony ride. This is another great way to enjoy the outdoors that’s a bit different from the beach atmosphere. Your toddler will be in awe with these lovely creatures they have seen in books and cartoons.

Lakumbe
Lakumbe is an ideal place for you to get a good bite to eat for breakfast or lunch while your child safely plays. Located in Fluvial, Puerto Vallarta, the restaurant tables encamp a lovely play area that has three slides and an inflatable castle. There is also an onsite nanny that can watch your child for a small fee as you kick back and relax with a smooth cup of coffee.
