Great company and wonderful new connections were made at the first Signature Residences Tasting.
Signature Residences at Garza Blanca hosted their first weekly wine tasting this past Thursday September 3rd 2015, welcoming a wonderful mix of wine aficionados including current owners, cultural philanthropists, non-profit charity workers and Puerto Vallarta business icons.
Hostess and Real Estate Sales Director, Nicole Martin, was most pleased with the turn out to the inaugural Signature Residences wine tasting at Garza Blanca Preserve which tempted a diverse group of resident expats and local Mexicans with a variety of wines from Blanca Blue Restaurant’s award winning wine cellar. Besides great conversation and sharing a passion for wine, the event was a wonderful excuse to forge forever friendships and connections among the community.
Knowledgeable Wine Stewards
Garza Blanca Resort is currently providing sommelier training to a number of its senior members of the food and beverage team, to ensure that each restaurant at the resort enjoys the services of a knowledgeable wine steward. On this occasion, two of Garza Blanca’s top sommeliers attended the diverse group offering 3 different wines for comparison, accompanied by cheese and fruit to clean the palate between servings, swirlings and identifying aromas.
Notable Guests and PV Ambassadors
Nicole had the pleasure of being joined by a variety of notable public figures from Puerto Vallarta as well as owners at Garza Blanca’s Signature Residences and local expats. Neighbours, Luis Alberto Barrero Stahl, ex ambassador of Mexico, and his lovely wife Monika; Dr. Rudolf and Kaye Gersenmayer; lawyer, Maria O´connor; Terrence and David of MexLend; Dr. Francoise Gaunet Escarras of Pasitos de Luz; Ana and Lourdes Maldonado; Signature Residence owners, George and Janet Lapin; Katy Ochoa of Qlick; and Pilar Perez of Oficina de Proyectos Culturales (Office of Cultural Projects) united in their enjoyment of fine wine and great conversation.
“We had the pleasant opportunity to share lovely moments with old and new friends,” commented Luis Alberto Barrero Stahl, who was ambassador of Mexico for many years. “A great location, wonderful views, good wine and great table created a very enjoyable time together.”
Culture promoter, curator and director of the Office of Cultural Projects (OPC) in Puerto Vallarta, Pilar Perez expressed her appreciation in an email sharing that “it was a pleasure meeting everyone last night—and thank you Nicole for bringing everyone together and introducing us all.”
At Garza Blanca Signature Residences we hope this past week’s wine tasting will be the first of many that are so packed full of interesting guests. Stay tuned for next week.
