Romantic Horseback Riding in Puerto Vallarta

There’s something about horseback riding that’s idyllic and serene, especially when it’s on a beach at sunset. When you buy a second home or retirement property in Puerto Vallarta you’ll have plenty of opportunities to spend some time astride these majestic animals on a variety of tours and treks. Perhaps it’s the beauty of Puerto Vallarta, or the power of these stunning animals because but you’ll find it very hard not to get into a romantic way of mind after these tours.

Horseback Riding in Puerto Vallarta

speaking, however, there are two different kinds of horseback treks to treat yourself to.

Horseback riding on the beach

The first is the horseback riding option is a shorter, smoother beach trek which is much closer to the city center and can be taken at sunset (if you want a really romantic activity). These beach treks are extremely popular with honeymooners and couples alike, and because they’re shorter you’re in no danger of becoming overly saddle sore.

The thrill of cantering through the surf on the back of such a majestic and powerful animal is second to none, and you can be sure that the romantic mood it instill in you will keep you and your partner trotting along at the same pace for the rest of your vacation.

Horseback Riding in the Mountains

Your second option is a longer, more rural trek through the jungles and mountains that surround the city of Puerto Vallarta. A tour of the quiet ranches that fill the outlying areas is idyllic and peaceful, but it’s the jungle treks that will really wow you! The guides will be able to tell you about the local flora and fauna as well as giving you some information about the smaller towns in the area. If you’re willing to risk a little saddle ache then this is the tour for you; you won’t forget the sights and sounds of a jungle tour.

Whether you’re galloping through the glittering surf or weaving in and out of the jungle flora a horseback tour is one of the most romantic activities you can indulge in.
