3rd Annual Downhill Bike Competition<\/h3>\n

Since the inaugural event in 2017, the Down Puerto Vallarta has attracted tons of attention from locals and tourists alike. The race starts at the top of the hill high above downtown Puerto Vallarta at a spot called the Sierra Madre’s La Cruz hilltop, where riders speed downhill through a dizzying array of jungle and urban obstacles as they make their way towards the historic center for a dazzling finish complete with breathtaking jumps and tricks that end right at the city\u2019s famous Malecon boardwalk. The total course is an impressive and panoramic 3,000-foot-long speedway that extreme riders love to ride, and spectators are wowed by their hard core talent and courageous tricks.<\/p>\n

Down Puerto Vallarta<\/h2>\n

Competition Details<\/h5>\n

The Down Puerto Vallarta is a series of competitions of three bicycle modalities that include Downhill, Slopestyle (which are long distance jumps), and freestyle. The starting point of the competition is high above the city at the picturesque viewpoint known as Cerro de la Cruz. Once a competitor begins his ride, he will pass through alleys, through the Pedregoso stream, speeding down Emilio Carranza and Aldama streets, until the ride ends with a panoramic view of the Bay of Banderas and multiple big jumps that will have the crowd cheering in excitement.<\/p>\n

Want to know where to find the best party in town? Make sure to book your spot and try to get a space at one of the balconies that overlook the final jumps. Otherwise, you can try to find a standing room only spot amongst the crowded streets that can get a big chaotic. After the event has concluded, the Best Trick Party will be held on the balconies of Starving Artist Gallery where the best freestyle riders will be awarded. There will be also be DJ’s to keep the music going at this energetic and lively after party.<\/p>\n
