Top Puerto Vallarta Beaches

As a privileged owner at Garza Blanca Signature Residences, you have access to your own stunning beach with a quaint breakwater that creates a calm ocean pool for residents and hotel guests alike to enjoy. However, if you are making Garza Blanca your home, you might also want to try out some of the other great beaches that Puerto Vallarta has to offer.

Puerto Vallarta’s sandy beaches are great for children wanting to play, and the beaches are known for excellent surfing, boogie boarding, and of course swimming. Some of the beaches are recommended for surfing, because of the wonderful waves, while others are recommended for families and children. Here is a wonderful selection of the best beaches to discover in Puerto Vallarta. Just some more reasons to make Puerto Vallarta your home.

The Exciting Los Muertos Beach
Old Town, Puerto Vallarta is where you will find the exciting Los Muertos Beach, only 10 minutes from Garza Blanca Signature Residences. Old Town is known for excitement and fun, because there is always live entertainment and music on the beach along with stores selling bright and hip swimsuits and beach wear. If you get too hot while on the beach, then don’t worry, because you will find some shade, bars and restaurants so that you can get out of the sun by sitting on the many lounge chairs and seats to enjoy a nice cold beer or cocktail along with a delicious lunch. If you walk down the beach you will notice the new pier that was completed in 2012 where boat trips can be arranged to take an excursion down the coast to find delightful secluded beaches to the south.

Puerto Vallarta’s Camarones Beach
Close to the Malecon is the Camarones Beach. You will find this beach where the iconic boardwalk begins. The Camarones Beach features a clean sandy beach where you will find certified lifeguards during high season. The beach is not just long and sprawling, but is nice and wide, so everyone can enjoy the numerous vendors that rent and sell umbrellas for use at the beach, delicious fresh shrimp, and locally grown fruits, vegetables, and yummy snacks. Residents both local and expats are the main visitors of this beach as there are condos located right on the beachfront. If you or your family plan to swim at this beach, then take precaution, because the waves and current can be forceful at times. Look out for the flag warnings.

Marina Beach or the El Saldo Beach in Downtown Puerto Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta offers excitement at the Marina Beach, also known as the El Saldo Beach. One thing that many tourists and residents don’t know is that the Marina Beach is a public beach and not exclusive for hotel patrons. There is a public entrance that allows you access to the Marina Beach. The bus can take you directly to the public entrance, or you can also take a taxi.

South Shore Near Garza Blanca

Punta Negra Beach and Gemelas Beach

Homeowners at Garza Blanca Signature Residences will find many beautiful beaches and tiny coves near to the property. Punta Negra and Gemelas beach are just two that you can be easily reached. When swimming at one of these beaches, take care because the waves are known to get large and high.

Boca de Tomatlan Beach

From Garza Blanca Signature Residences you should continue south until you are at the last bus stop by the River Tomatlan, and this is where the Boca de Tomatlan beach is located. The fishing village offers affordable boat taxis that can take you further south to more quiet and secluded beaches.  Likewise you can grab a bite to eat and spend a pleasant afternoon or walk the trail that will take you to Las Animas Beach.

North of Puerto Vallarta

Nuevo Vallarta Beach

North Nuevo Vallarta Beach is a fantastic beach and is on the top of the list as the best beaches in Northern Puerto Vallarta. What makes this beach stand out is it is so large and huge. The waves are mild, so children can play and have fun. Boogie board riders and kite surfers love this beach, because the waves and conditions are consistent. The Nuevo Vallarta Beach flows into the Bucerias Beach, making it seem endless.

Destiladeras Beach

Destiladeras Beach is a great beach to visit, and it offers many of the same benefits as the Nuevo Vallarta Beach. One bonus of this beach is there aren’t as many hotels located here, which makes this long, beautiful beach perfect for all types of surfing, swimming, boogie boards, and playing in the sands. There are a couple of snack restaurants here to grab a bite to eat, and the parking is good.

Relaxing Punta Mita Beach also known as the Anclote

Punta Mita Beach can be found just a bit further down the coast from Destiladeras. You won’t miss the beach, because the beachfront has a lot of restaurants, shopping, and schools for beginner surfers and paddle boarders. An added benefit of this beach is being able to sit back and watch the luxury sailboats go by, and if you’re luck you might see a famous millionaire.

Hip Sayulita Beach

Designer shopping boutiques, fancy restaurants, surf shops, and great swimwear merchants are located at the Sayulita Beach, famed for traditional surfing and paddle surfing. Sayulita is perfect for that hip, chic crowd looking to make going to the beach an all-day adventure. One thing to consider when you go to the Sayulita Beach is the tide. Some areas in the water are wide and deep. The surfers try to surf where swimmers aren’t located, which adds safety to this beach. The music is playing, kids are having a good time, and it can be loud, so if you want a quiet relaxing beach, then this isn’t the beach for you to visit.
