Where to Eat in Puerto Vallarta with Young Children

Ensuring that you keep a decent eating routine while you are on vacation with your children can be pretty tricky. On one hand you want to enjoy a good meal, maybe try a local delicacy, but on the other your kids want mac and cheese or chicken nuggets and chips. Plaza Caracol Shopping Mall

Although this shopping mall is not very elegant, on the second level of the inimitable Plaza Caracol Shopping Mall you will find Galex Kids. This is a place where you can check your little ones into a great play area where they will be supervised. On this level there is also an arcade with a food fair which will allow you to order whatever you would like while the kids are kept happy.

Galerias Shopping Mall

The more elegant Galerias shopping mall can be found right in front of the cruise ship docks. On the second level of this mall you will find a play area, located just above the Casino, that is designed to keep kids of all ages happy! There’s even a train that circuits the mall and carousel. The food court has a range of fast food options with salad bars and sushi too.

Lukumbe

Lukumbe can be found in Fluvial Vallarta neighborhood and is somewhat of a haven for tired mommies who need a “please all” menu, low prices, a full bar, and a place for the little ones to play indoors. The playground includes an inflatable bouncy castle! There is also a toy room and an area to change your baby in! Be prepared to run into birthday celebrations, however; watch out for a piñata breaking! The staff at the Lukumbe are friendly and attentive, and they’d be happy to watch over your little ones for a while in return for a tip.

Sonora Grill

The Sonora Grill in the Marina has a kids play area which can be seen from some areas in the restaurant, but still offers a more sophisticated dining experience.

Garza Blanca Gourmet Dining

Of course you can always take advantage of the onsite babysitting service at the Garza Blanca while you enjoy a meal at the Blanca Blue, Hiroshi, or BocaDos STK.
